This week on Tandem Radio, Marsha D. Knight, CEO and Owner of Knight’s Coaching Experience talks about the struggles, challenges and obstacles she encountered in her life and how all those experiences led her to where she is today.   Marsha’s story is one of triumph and perseverance and believing in yourself.  She truly is an inspiration to everyone she encounters.

Marsha D. Knight-Marsha’s life journey is to inspire many women to “live on fire”! As a certified professional life coach, author, dynamic motivational speaker, and an experienced solo-parent, she is passionate about collaborating with women to help them live the life of their dreams for themselves as well as their children. Marsha received her certification in life coaching from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. She also has an Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Massasoit Community College, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University, and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communication from Suffolk University. Marsha left Verizon Telecommunications, Inc. in 2011, after a 25 year career, to pursue her life purpose as a life coach. Marsha’s coaching experience is the natural culmination of the totality of her life experiences. She currently inspires her clients based on her past experiences and successes as a business woman, night student, and a single parent. As written about in her memoir; “Reaching out of the Rubble: The Sky is Not the Limit,” Marsha has had many of the same struggles, as a solo-parent, that many women experience today. In addition to overcoming sexual abuse as a child, discrimination, living in a foster home, and an unplanned pregnancy at the age of 17; she has overcome a litany of life’s obstacles while raising her son Derrick. Marsha struggled for many years; not having enough money for rent, food, and babysitting; always feeling alone, trying to fight her demons with drug use, dating abusive men and the list goes on. Even though there were many challenges and obstacles, Marsha was able to raise an educated, well-mannered young man, follow her goals of being formerly educated, excel in corporate America, and most importantly, learn to love herself for who she is.  She is grateful every day and knows that she has a choice to be happy. One of her mottos is: ‘If you believe, you can achieve’! Marsha credits her success to her faith in God as well as the advice and assistance that she has received along the way.
